Serbian Railways opens a new workshop with cutting-edge CAF technology for automatic train data measurement. Through Energoprojekt Niskogradnja, CAF's digital service unit will install a variety of data acquisition systems in the new workshop located in Zemun, Serbia, which will automate the process of measuring and monitoring wheels and brakes.
The acquisition equipment includes the detection of anomalies in those train components and will feature the LeadMind digital platform for data management and analytics. LeadMind will allow the Serbian operator to plan the work orders of the workshop based on the condition of the train assets and optimize the interventions ensuring maximum availability of the fleet.
This new workshop, based in the area of Belgrade, will take care of the maintenance of the fleets from different typologies, being able to find: EMU 413/417 manufacturer Stadler (Switzerland), DMU 711 manufacturer Metrovagonmash (Russia), EMU 412/416 manufacturer RVR Riga (Latvia), 441 electric locomotives from manufacturer ASEA (Sweden), 461 electric locomotives from manufacturer Electroputere (Romania), among others.
The automation of asset measurement and condition-based monitoring will transform the operation of the maintenance of the SrbijaVoz workshop and will increase operational efficiency by improving the reliability and availability of the fleet of trains to maintain.
